The Movement is Life Annual Summit is a collaborative event bringing together stakeholders from diverse backgrounds to discuss healthy equity challenges and solutions. The Summit program features nationally known speakers who are experts on health disparities and social determinants of health. Summit attendees engage with speakers and each other during interactive workshops focused on social issues as well as creative movement activities.
Movement is Life is a 501(c)(3) non-profit multidisciplinary coalition seeking to eliminate racial, ethnic, and gender disparities by promoting movement, which improves individuals’ overall health and quality of life. Movement is Life’s work places a special focus on African American, Latina, and rural women in underserved communities. We are a catalyst for change, energizing multidisciplinary work groups to develop measurable, short-term action plans that move the needle on critical factors driving musculoskeletal disparities. We must find ways to make an impact now, while long-term solutions are being developed. We focus on community through education, early health intervention, and advocacy.
Movement is Life is excited to bring its Annual Summit to Atlanta, GA for 2024. The summit features:
