Workshop A - Live from Atlanta, It's Operation Change!
Featured speakers will be Program Directors, Motivational Interviewers and Participants of MIL's Operation Change Program.
Join this LIVE reenactment in the day of the life of an Operation Change participant. Session attendees will experience what an Operation Change participant does on a typical program day. This session will be dynamic, engaging, and will leave you wanting to know more about Operation Change.
Workshop B - Community Health Needs Assessment--An Underappreciated Tool

Join us for an insightful workshop that delves into the often overlooked yet vital process of Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). This session is designed to provide healthcare professionals, community leaders, and policymakers with a comprehensive understanding of how hospitals conduct CHNAs and utilize the findings to enhance community health. Through a combination of expert presentations, such as interactive discussions on health literacy and case studies, participants will leave equipped with the knowledge and tools to leverage CHNAs effectively, fostering improved health equity and outcomes in their communities.

Join us to explore how respectufl and effective communication can advance health eequity. We'll begin by discussing what patients value most in their interactions with clinicians, focusing on the role of respect and empathy in building trust. We'll also delve into how patient-provider concordance related to gender, ethnicity, and language impacts care outcomes, emphasizing the importance of aligning care with diverse patient backgrounds.

Each year, in conjunction with the Summit, we take time to recognize individuals whose work demonstrates a lifelong commitment to advancing health equity. The event consists of dinner, the presentation of the 2024 awards, and a charity silent auction. Tickets will be sold separately, and space is limited. One hundred percent of the proceeds from tickets purchased and other donations for this event will go toward Movement is Life’s expansion of its signature community-based program, Operation Change.
